Along with these, there are so many other educational institutions that provide different educational courses. Let’s break down the intakes into three different parts.

First Intake

This intake starts around late February or early march and ends in late June. This intake is popular among international students. This intake offers varieties of courses you can select from different universities.

This intake starts in late July or early August. This intake also offers varieties of courses you can select from different universities.

Second Intake

Third Intake

This intake starts in September to late November. A very limited number of courses are offered in this intake season

If you are planning to enroll into vocational courses, they offer intakes for January, May or July, depending upon the course and the university itself. The deadlines for each intake depends upon the university you are applying to. As a legitimate educational consultancy, we suggest every student to start preparing for their application at least six months before. Even though Australia has top universities and world class education, the admission process is very easy and there is a very high chance of getting selected if you meet their educational requirements. If you are confused on which intake to select, February intake is the most suitable intake for everyone. As this intake offers a wide range of courses and the majority of universities open admission for international students, there is a higher chance of getting your spot being secured and visa being approved. All the universities have their own rules and regulations regarding deadlines and requirements, so the entire application process should be planned meticulously. If you plan and start your application process six months before the semester starts, make sure you are done with your English language requirement tests. Australian universities usually accept a 6.0 ielts band score or minimum PTE Academic score of 42. After you have completed your language requirement tests, you should start applying to your desired university. One of the most common mistakes students make while applying to Australia is they don’t take enough time during their application process. If you rush and leave your work for the last hour, you might not meet the requirements and miss important opportunities. Here are a few things that you should consider while applying to Australian universities after you have finalized your intake:

1. Email your college admission board and submit all the educational documents asked by the university committee.

2. Write a proper SOP and essays required by the college.  Check our SOP Guidelines

3. Wait for an acceptance letter from the university and as soon as you receive it, proceed with other documents required by the college.

4. Submit your fees required by the university and apply for a student visa.

5. Meanwhile, look into scholarships and student loans if you can’t afford your fees. Talk to the college admission board regarding financial help.

6. After all the process is completed, sort out your accommodation and book your flight.

7. After the covid-19 protocols, you must do a PCR test within 72 hours before the flight. If everything goes alright, you will be welcomed into Australia, put in quarantine and after a few days of isolation, you will finally be able to pursue the life of your dreams.

While applying to any university abroad, SOP is the getaway between you and your dreams. It is the most important document needed for the university so that they can recognize you as a strong candidate for enrollment. A well-cited SOP maximizes your chances of being selected in the university. Here’s what you need to know and avoid basic mistakes while writing a perfect SOP:

  1. What is an SOP? Is SOP compulsory while applying abroad for higher studies?
SOP is known as the Statement of Purpose and yes, it is compulsory to write one SOP while applying to your desired universities. It is a personal essay that explains why you are interested in applying to the university. It covers your interest, motivation, work and career goals that you have done to present yourself as a strong candidate.
  2. Isn’t my mark sheet enough to get me enrolled?
While your mark sheet plays a huge role, it doesn’t make you a worthy candidate. Your SOP is extremely critical and gives you a chance to stand out among all other applicants. A good SOP has a higher chance of getting selected in the university. An SOP gives you a chance to explain your motives.
  3. How do I write a good SOP?
The key to a good SOP is honesty. Tell them why you deserve your spot in the university and what makes you a unique candidate. SOP is your chance to shine, even when you have low grades. A good SOP convinces the administration to select you on the basis of your capability.
  4. What is the word limit for a good SOP?
The word limit for a good SOP is between 800 to 1000 words. Make sure your SOP isn’t below 500 words.
  5. Should I use extreme vocabulary while writing a good SOP? Will it maximize my chances of being selected?
While it is important to use diverse vocabularies, you shouldn’t overdo it. A lucid SOP is very important. A well-written SOP with your goals and career motive has the highest chance of being selected.
  6. How important is perfect grammar while writing SOP?
Grammar is the most essential part while writing a perfect SOP. Make sure you consult with experts before submitting it. SOP with fewer grammatical errors gives them an understanding of your language skills.
  7. Can you tell me how I should start my SOP?
A good SOP starts with planning. Start your SOP with your interest and long-term vision for the future. How does your field of study persuade you to make changes in society? State your understanding clearly and connect these dots. Explain your background on why it motivates you to study the chosen subject and how you can contribute to society as an individual. Remember, the goal is to make them understand why you stand in the crowd.
  8. What should the middle part of the SOP consist of?
The middle part of SOP consists of your interest in the subject and school in an elaborative way. Explain why it is important for you to get selected. You may have work experiences, anecdotes of social work, or any other involvement in society. Your overall vision can be presented in the middle part of the SOP. Be yourself and explain your motivation on how you can make this world a better place with the help of your education. Since honesty is the best policy, being expressive is the best thing you can do to have your spot secured in the university. Make sure you don’t over-exaggerate your goals. The middle part can be used to explain your financial status if you need a scholarship or your academic background if you have a low score.
  9. How do I conclude my SOP?

Your SOP should make a lasting impression. Stay focused on what you uniquely bring to the classroom, the program, and the campus community.

It should be double-spaced and written in 12 points New Time Roman font. You should leave 1-inch margins on all sides. Make sure you use an active voice and not a passive voice while writing an SOP.

  1. Can I copy my friend’s SOP?
Nope, you can’t copy your friend’s SOP. An SOP should be original. Copying someone else’s work will only lower your chances of getting selected.
  2. What are the common mistakes to avoid while writing a perfect SOP?
There are so many unseen errors we fail to notice while writing a perfect SOP. Here’s how you can avoid making your SOP monotonous:
  • Make sure you craft your SOP and start working from the beginning. Do not leave it for the last minute.
  • Your introduction should be strong and your conclusion should support the introduction.
  • Don’t dwell much on your poor GPA. Remember, you have the power to change your narrative.
  • Avoid using informal language. Slangs are a big No while writing an SOP. You should use an active voice.
  • Your word limit shouldn’t go beyond the university’s limit.
  • Make sure your SOP is clear and concise. Using too much extravagant vocabulary will make it boring and hard to understand.
  • While it is necessary to link your experiences, don’t make it corny by oversharing.
  • Remember to edit all the grammatical errors. An SOP should be typo-free. Consulting with an expert before submitting your SOP is the most important part.
  • Do not rush while writing a good SOP. As you know, slow and steady wins the race but don’t forget to submit it before the deadline.

Australia to reopen its border, what next?

Yes, you heard it right!

If you are an international student or skilled worker stranded in your country, we have good news for you. Australia is planning to reopen its border to international students and skilled workers, hopefully after 15th of December, 2021.  Australia opened its border on December 1st after almost 2 years of being in lockdown due to covid pandemic. It immediately went on lockdown as new information emerged about the Omicron COVID-19 variant and vaccine potency.

The Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, hopes Australia can reopen to visa holders and students by Christmas. Even though highly transmissible, the Omicron variant has shown to be less deadlier and amidst the ongoing concern, Australia still plans to reopen it’s border soon. The government plans to enforce mandatory mask wearing rules for international flights and restrictions on international travel from countries perceived high-risk. International students and skilled workers will be required to stay in quarantine and pose vaccine documents for their safety.

It is optimistic news for everyone who is planning to travel to Australia soon. With mandatory covid testing and mask requirements, the safety of the people won’t be at risk. The leaders have agreed to continue considering international border settings coherent with beneficial strategies for the reduction of the transmission of the Omicron variant.

As the vaccination rate is very high in Australia, if the government delays the decision by any chance, the students will still be able to continue their studies through virtual measures. We hope the border opens soon and you will be able to live your Australian dreams!
