The Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a language proficiency test for non-native English speakers who need to demonstrate their language skills for academic, professional, or immigration purposes. The four language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—are assessed in a computer-based test. The exam can be taken at a number of authorized test centers worldwide, including in many countries.
