Australia offers multiple intakes in a year for students from all over the world. You have a higher chance of being selected into Australian universities if you take some time and carefully do all the planning. Find your subject of interest and select the university of your choice. There are a total of 43 universities in Australia, among which 36 of them are public universities, four of them are private universities and three of them are international private universities. For the July intake students must begin the research and short listing of the university from the September to October of previous year and apply for the university in around December – February. November Intakes

November intakes are the least popular intakes with limited number of courses. Only certain number of universities offer this intake and most of the course they offer are vocational. So, the competition for scholarship is very low, thus high chances for the applicant to get it. For this intake students must research about the courses and universities in around November to December of the previous year. Then in between June/July, apply for the course. Visa application can be done till October. In November you arrange the travelling process to fly to Australia.

An SOP should be of two pages, with 800 to 1000 words. Make sure you clearly state your goals in 5 to 7 paragraphs with 200 or 250 words each. It should be double-spaced and written in 12 points New Time Roman font. You should leave 1-inch margins on all sides. Make sure you use an active voice and not a passive voice while writing an SOP.

1. Can I copy my friend’s SOP?
   Nope, you can’t copy your friend’s SOP. An SOP should be original. Copying someone else’s work will only lower your chances of getting selected.
2. What are the common mistakes to avoid while writing a perfect SOP?
   There are so many unseen errors we fail to notice while writing a perfect SOP. Here’s how you can avoid making your SOP monotonous:

• Make sure you craft your SOP and start working from the beginning. Do not leave it for the last minute.
• Your introduction should be strong and your conclusion should support the introduction.
• Don’t dwell much on your poor GPA. Remember, you have the power to change your narrative.
• Avoid using informal language. Slangs are a big No while writing an SOP. You should use an active voice.
• Your word limit shouldn’t go beyond the university’s limit.
• Make sure your SOP is clear and concise. Using too much extravagant vocabulary will make it boring and hard to understand.
• While it is necessary to link your experiences, don’t make it corny by oversharing.
